FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A heartfelt message.

Make a list of what makes you proud of your student, a particularly strong memory, or a few words to describe your student. If you go from there, you'll have a beautiful message for your ad.

A good rule of thumb is no more than four to six sentences. The more you write, the more difficult it will be to fit with your student's images.

You should include as many as you feel compelled to, but no more than 8-12 in a full-page tribute, 4 in a ½ page, 2 in a ¼ page if you want them to be visible and impactful. Our favorite ads have only one or two meaningful photos.

If you only have hard copy prints, we highly recommend that you scan those images (or have a professional scan them for you, at FedEx Office, for example). If having a professional scan them does not work for you, you may mail your materials to us for scanning. (If you provide an appropriately sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope, your materials will be returned to you when the book is completed.)

Send materials to: Adeaze, 1611 South Utica Avenue, PMB 293, Tulsa, OK 74104-4909. Please mark all materials "DO NOT BEND".

You will only receive a proof if we create your ad for you. If you submit a camera-ready ad, you will not receive a proof from us. What you sent us is exactly what we will print. Be aware that all ads will be fit to within the margins of the yearbook (there are no ads that bleed off the page). This may make your ad appear smaller than you expected. Please use the size specifications for your student's yearbook.

We will accept nearly any file type. We prefer working with .psd, .jpg or .png files. We are happy to take PDFs. Please do not send images in Word documents. We need the original image files before you place them in Word.

  • LCHS quarter page ads must be 300 pixels per inch (ppi) at 4.66"x5.33". This is a vertical quarter of a 9"x12" page with margins.
  • LCHS half page ads must be 300 pixels per inch (ppi) at 8.5"x5.33". This is a horizontal half of a 9"x12" page with margins.
  • LCHS full page ads must be 300 pixels per inch (ppi) at 8.5"x11". This is a single page measuring 9"x12" with margins.

We'll accept any file name - thank you! If you would like to rename it, our preference is FirstName_LastName_AdSize

  • We recommend that you try canva.com, Adobe Photoshop or InDesign.
  • Combine images with any text you want to include. Try canva.com, Adobe Photoshop or InDesign. Please do not use Word or any software that will not confirm 300 dpi. Create a flattened, merged image to upload. Save the file as a .psd, .jpg or .png file to send to Adeaze. Remember that we will not proof dedications submitted this way. Please be sure to thoroughly proofread before you submit.
  • On a Windows computer, you can check a photo’s resolution by right-clicking on the image icon and selecting "Properties." Switch to the "Summary" tab, and you’ll see a value for "Resolution." If the number is below 300 DPI, look for another photo or expect it to be smaller than you see it now.
  • On an Apple computer, you can check a photo’s resolution by opening the photo in "Preview," selecting "Tools" from the menu and then "Adjust Size." In the "Image Dimensions" section, there will be a value for "Resolution."  If the number is below 300 DPI, look for another photo or expect it to be smaller than you see it now.
  • If you’re scanning a hardcopy photo, make sure you set your scan resolution to 300ppi or higher.
  • Please give your professional designer these specifications.
  • First, confirm correct size per your purchase.

  • This is a free service included with your purchase price. The only drawback is that it can be a long process — please allow 8-12 weeks for your ad to be created and proofed to you.
  • STEPS TO TAKE
    • Collect images you would like to include.
      • If those include hard copy prints, we highly recommend that you scan those images (or have a professional scan them for you, at FedEx Office, for example).
      • If you send us digital images, please send them uncropped and at the original size (high resolution, Actual Size).
  • It is always a good idea to send us a sketch if you have ideas about how you’d like the final design to look.
  • Send a text file with the text you would like to include.
  • Your ad will be designed to match the look-and-feel of the student-designed yearbook. We will use the fonts and colors that the yearbook staff has recommended for the entire yearbook. If you prefer to choose your own colors and fonts, we recommend you hire a professional designer.
  • After the dedication has been designed, we will email you a PDF for review before printing. Please note that we are only set up to accommodate one set of edits. The proof is merely to check for typos or mistakes. We cannot accommodate reproofs for any reason.

Both payment and your artwork are due no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2019. No submissions will be accepted after this time. We must finalize the page count to the publisher so we must know exactly how many pages we have by then.

Please note your order (click here to order), your payment (either PayPal or by check) and your artwork (click here to upload) are due no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2019
